The Philippines is projected to have almost 115.4 million people by mid-2025, according to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority.
The population will continue to be young, with more than 22.2 million people in the 0-9 age bracket.
The Philippines is estimated to have a population of nearly 107.3 million in mid-2019. Almost 22.1 million of those are nine years old and below.
The PSA said it released the updated projections using the results of the 2015 census of population, in response to the demands for the latest population estimates to be used as inputs in development plans.
