All Metro Manila shopping malls will open by 11 AM during weekdays, an hour later from the usual 10 AM, from November 11, 2019 to January 10, 2020 to help ease traffic during the holiday season, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said in a Facebook post.
This is one of the measures that the MMDA, the Department of Public Works and Highways, shopping mall operators, and water utility and telecommunication companies agreed to implement in a meeting held on October 22.
A no weekday sale policy will also be implemented.
The measures also include limiting deliveries of non-perishable goods from 11 PM to 5 AM, as well as temporary suspension of road reblockings along EDSA and C5 except government flagship projects and/or during emergency cases.
Metro Manila is home to at least 100 shopping malls, the MMDA said.
